Wildflower Davenport hosts an art opening with local botanical artist, Lauren Lachance

Join us for an art opening at Wildflower Davenport with Austin’s favorite botanical artist Lauren Lachance, on Thursday, March 5th, 2009 from 10am – 6pm.

Wildflower Davenport located at 3801 Capital of Texas Highway at the corner of Westlake Drive and 360.

Lauren Lachance will present her latest collection of pressed botanical art. Lachance has transformed the five hundred year old tradition of pressing plants into an arrestingly beautiful contemporary art form. She describes her passion for her work as “the sheer pleasure of interpreting and recording the exquisite beauty of nature”. Produced though her unique process, pieces range in size from 12” X 18” to 40” X 64”, and lend elegance and grace to any setting.
